Hello.
Happy New Year.
I'm painfully aware that I haven't written for a while. Once again I offer up the 2-fold excuses of being terribly busy and, unfortunately, being ill again.
I was however just looking through my photos and realised that I took these of Rangoli and didn't ever blog them. Unless I did and I've forgotten. In which case I apologise. Anyway, here they are..
They were, as you could probably surmise from the numbered squares, part of some sort of competition. This took place during Datta's birthday (the celebrations that had the funfair), and were on the whole stretch of street from Sangam to the temple. It was very impressive and I particularly like the more unusual - perhaps less traditional - designs.
Anyway, just thought I'd give you something pretty to look at while you wait for my next post!

Hi Philippa! I've finally managed to get hold of your blog. Sorry I'm such rubbish at keeping in touch! Good job you've got some proper friends... Anyway, it's good to have caught up with what you're up to. There are no photos of you on your blog - can I request one or two please? Hope you're well/feeling better - Louise keps me in touch now that Gran and I have a break from Knit and Knatter. We're hoping to do an India based activity at our district Thinking Day event. Do you have any ideas for us please? It needs to take about 20 minutes and doesn't have to be a craft... All suggestions gratefully received. That's all for now. Love Ann x
ReplyDeleteNice to hear from you!
ReplyDeleteLook on the Sangam website for some activity ideas (under resources) or at our new friendship bracelet project (under 'support us')
I'll try to find some photos of me and post soon!
